Well it’s the first month of 2018, and it is at this point I need to take a look back at what happened in 2017, and I have to say it has been a massive year for my family and me.
I have been pushing some projects pretty hard and let others bumble along, and I have spent 2017 just doing what I do without much thought for 2018 and well now that 2018 is here I think it is time to crack on and see if I can break some targets that I have set out to do.
What do I have planned for 2018?
Well 2018 is here for me to work my balls off and get back on the bandwagon with affiliate marketing, I have been very lazy when it comes to affiliate marketing and I have been drawn to youtube pretty hard this year with me dedicating a lot of time to creating videos for a couple of blogs and it has been tough and with youtube you need to commit a tonne of time to it and the reward at first is very small, but I am definitely ready to hire the Nashville SEO company to help me get back on track.
However with youtube I have learnt a lot along the way and I think I am on to a winner but like most things in life you need to keep at it and work a lot smarter than I did in the past and so 2018 I actually have a strategy for my content and already less than a week in I am seeing some big improvements in my channels.
The other thing that I have decided to look at is the amount of time I spend socialising and being the local pub is fun and a massive break from working, but I spend far too much time in the pub. For 2018 I am cutting my time down in the pub to only a few hours a week, and that will just be if I have completed my to-do list.
Which gets me back to my post on “To Do” lists… I love them, but I have been pretty much sidetracked, and I am not ticking enough of the lists off in the day, and I want to start getting back on top of my business and pushing it forward and make some considerable progress and get things back to what I want them to be.
I let a few of my big earning sites slip in 2017, and that has had a knock-on effect with the way I di things, but still I have the bull by the horns, and I am now putting those things right and getting my shit together.
However, I have had a massive change in 2017, and that was the birth of my first child Madeleine who was born in April and has changed my outlook on life and a lot of things I look at now don’t really matter so my focus has changed.
The other thing I am looking at is not partnering up with people on projects as I seem to spend a lot of time helping others with their sites and I end up wasting so many hours and let’s be honest I am not gaining a great deal, so that has to stop. I launched a site two years ago with a friend, and that is now flying, but I am not getting what I want from it now so I left the project.
2017 and 2018 are going to be big years for my family and me, but I need to shake things up a lot and see what I can do to make things better, and although a lot of my income is created from autopilot I need to look at what I can do to make things better and that is where I see 2018 being better.
I am exceptionally good at what I do but I have got a bit complacent, and I need to get that grip back.
I am going to be reviewing a lot of products and getting my name back out there within the internet marketing scene, and that means getting more involved in what I do and spending a lot more time in front of the computer which is not ideal but to ensure I create a better life for Madeleine that is what I need to do so watch this space and I hope you enjoy what I am about to do.
Thanks for reading
Danny
