I was in my local pub on Thursday evening and reading the Daily Mail I came across the below article and I was  unsure on what my feelings were..

Internet users are to be given the power to stop companies monitoring their browsing and using the information gleaned to bombard them with targeted advertisements.Sites including Google and Facebook what have to carry a red warning triangle with an ‘i’ on all adverts which have been generated by such monitoring. Those who click on the icon will be given the chance to opt out of the targeted promotions.

Websites that flout the rules to be introduced in June, will be named and shamed by advertising watchdogs and could face being brought before the information Commissioner. The Internet advertising has raised privacy concerns after users have found themselves assailed with advertising based on their personal browsing. For example, someone who logs on to a site about red wine might suddenly find special deals on Cabernet sauvignon popping up on other websites that they visit – whether or not have anything to do with wine.

The targeted advertisements are the result of websites storing files and computers of individuals visiting them, these files, called cookies are effectively online tracking devices, which record what the user looks at. The profile they create is then exploited to target advertising.

The interactive advertising bureau has set up a website at youronlinechoices.com where it is possible to turn off advertising from many companies. Some websites such as Yahoo, have begun using the triangle icon on a voluntary basis. Advertisers who point out that stopping cookies will not stop online advert, it just means that they will no longer be tailored to the user. An investigation by the Wall Street Journal found that the world’s top 50 websites installed 3180 tracking files on a test computer.

The newspaper said the information on these devices gleaned enabled data gathering companies to build personal profiles that could include age, gender, race, postcode, income, marital status and health concerns along with recent purchase of favourite TV programmes and films.

Guy Parker, head of the advertising standards authority said the new ‘opt out’ icon had been introduced amid growing concerns about advertising. He added: ‘Trust in advertising is been declining for a number of years and this is not good news. If people trust individual ads less… then companies advertising spend is going to be less effective.’

So after reading that what do you think?

My first impressions was that I quite liked the idea of it changing, as I have often looked at some of my sites and thought that the adverts were not relevant to what was on the page but to what Jane had been searching for on my PC the night before… In the good old days of contextual advertising the adverts would be targeted to what was on the page. So if the page was discussing life insurance you would have Life insurance adverts show up. Which in my eyes was a lot better especially for the publisher of those adverts.

Imagine if you had built a site and had adsense on it and had customised the pages the to hide the adverts nicely just so that the user didn’t feel like they were going to an advert…. But now your site maybe on watches but its displaying Car insurance because moment previous you were just insuring your car….

In the UK we will start seeing a lot of changes with how the internet is looked at especially as the slimy politicians try to control it and of course as every year goes by and more more people get online our freedom of speech is slowly fading. This is why I am worrying a little bit as the more laws that come in the more restrictions we are going to find to try and hold us back in continuing to make money online whether it be a legitimate business or not.

I am not hopeful for the future to be honest, if America gets its way the internet will be heavily policed and anybody that appears to start getting bit of power will get shut down and this has already started especially now the super bowl is starting.

So what have I been up to this week?

Well, I’ve been promoting the Mobile Money Bandit course quite hard and this is because it is a fantastic training course on how to use pay per call marketing, which will become more a more popular as time goes by especially that most people have smart phones.

I am now making a small amount of money each day at the moment all on autopilot from using techniques shown in Mobile Money Bandit and I still really haven’t scratched the surface yet on this great system, however, I’m planning on doing so, possibly next week when I catch up on my other tasks.

Also this week I had to go and help a friend of mine do some work in his newly bought house, he brought eight bedroom house about an hour away from where I am in the UK and is converting it into two flats one for him and his family and one for his brother to live in with his family.

So on Saturday I was plastering a huge kitchen, I’ve not plastered in a long time and so this was going to be interesting, especially as plastering is a very, very labour-intensive trade and also extremely tiring. It went quite well to be honest and we decided to stay quite late and get the job done, rather than dragging it over two days. However, I’m still aching from it and it is now Tuesday.

I’ve also been playing with my new venture, it is going quite well, however I can’t get consistency right just yet and so still more more testing is needed until I’m perfectly happy with the results but I’ve had lots of enquiries and interest so I’m looking forward to pushing on and making some extra money from it.

I’ve also been looking at all of my domains that I own and seeing which ones are the dead wood and which ones I really should push and turn them into power affiliate sites. 90% of my sites make a profit, so I’m quite happy that its only 10% that don’t make much money. So I need to either work on them or I need to sell them and free up space.

So this is a decision I have to make Do I flip them or do I just work on them until they make money?

Well, I think I’m going to flip them, their great looking sites and have great content and a fair amount of back links, so won’t take much to convert them into good moneymaking sites. However, I just can’t be bothered to work on them myself.

So in a few months time you’ll be able to see which sites I have for sale and I’ll show you traffic stats and current earnings for each site so you can decide for yourself if you’re interested in buying them off me.

The next 12 months for myself and my girlfriend are going to be very tough. We have a huge goal that we are aiming for and it’s going to put huge strain on us. However, when it does pull off (which it will) we are going to be sitting very pretty and also in a very, very warm climate far, far away from England.

Were also looking at where we should take our next long holiday, a few places are on the cards, Malaysia, Bali, Singapore, Australia or even Hawaii again….

This is always an exciting time for us as we love travelling, seeing the world. Even if sometimes it comes close to killing you.

This last week for me has been manic. I’ve been pushing on my forum quite hard the last few years and it is slowly beginning to pay off. We had a lot of enquiries last week with regards to advertising and sponsorship on the site. So I spent a lot of time getting stats sorted out and proposals for these companies that want to support our community.

I want to tell you a little about my forum…..

Right from the start of creating the forum I had goals and a vision and for the last six years I’ve stuck to this vision and it is very clear that its working and I am finally getting within reach of those goals. It has been hard work and tiring lots of late nights and frustrating moments but seeing how the forum has helped many people over the years it is worth it.

One of the harder tasks is to work out how much to charge people for any service that you offer and that includes advertising and sponsorship. Its very hard to put a price on something that takes you only a few minutes to implement and it has had me scratching my head for quite some time now.

So what i do now is reverse the tables and look at it from the other persons perspective and see what advertising on my site can do for them. When you look at it this way you can then start to see what the company is going to gain and that way you can start putting a price on what you have to offer. This strategy is working very well for me at the moment

Along with my affiliate business I sideline it with doing local SEO marketing for companies. I find it easy to rank sites in the major search engines because of my background with affiliate marketing over the years and having to compete with big brand companies for competitive keywords

However, when you’re targeting local businesses the local business traffic figures are small and I mean a lot smaller than what I would normally target for my affiliate sites, so when Christmas comes and people simply aren’t searching for local plumbers or garages, it makes you feel bad that your clients site is getting a lot less traffic However if no one searching then you can’t do any more.

So also this week and last week I have been looking at my local clients tweaking and playing with their sites, adding new content and of course continuing with the onslaught of backlinking which all goes to help making sure they maintain their high rankings.

I’ve also been very busy looking a new business venture just to complement my local business customers. I am not going to disclose exactly what I’m doing as I want to get it rolling and started first so that I can ensure I’m staying focussed.

However, I looked at hiring another company to do the service and it worked out it was cheaper for me to buy the equipment myself and do it rather than paying someone to do it, rhe equipment will be fully paid for after the second run.

So hopefully next week the equipment should arrive and I should have a website running to sell what I’m offering which should be quite good fun. This venture is completely different to what I’m used to, but hey Ho, I’m sure I’ll be fine.

You may also read that I recently reviewed the Mobile Money Bandit. I applied to a few of the companies and got accepted quite quickly and I’ve been promoting a product using the method explained in the Mobile Money Bandit and it is going pretty well considering the very little time spent on it.

So maybe in the coming weeks I’ll be delving deeper into this system to really ramp up my earnings and turn it into a nice second income.

As you will discover working online is very much the case of finding lots of different revenue streams and building on them so that if one goes wrong or dries up the others will take over and you should not run the risk of losing too much money or worse case your whole business.

I’ve also recently bought a new car is not owned my main everyday car since when travelling in 2009, this was having an effect on myself personally due to me getting dinky fever in 2010. I’ve had trouble is concentrating on the less I drove the hard drive found it and it is causing me a few problems. So I bought a car just before Christmas and I’m enjoying it. I go I recently day just for a little drive and is helping me get back to the way things were.

As most of you may know, I’m a complete petrol head. I have a kit car already in the winter stays in the garage as it’s too much to drive it in the wet and not only that bloody cold.

This is going to be one of the last summers that we spend in the UK. Jane my long term girlfriend is in her final year of training to be a maths teacher, which means it is our ticket out of the UK and to climates warmer. We can’t decide where to stay for the moment, it is a tossup between going to Singapore for a couple years and enjoying the city life but also the great connections to Malaysia and Australia. Or we try our luck in getting to Australia as this is where we want to be for long-term.

But either way as long as the sunshine, the beach, and huge waves I’ll be happy.

Looking forward to getting back on the road again as I really do miss travelling, and seeing new people and places.

Sorry it’s been a long time since I posted but I have been frantically busy working on my own affiliate sites and also ensuring that my current SEO clients are getting the results that I have aimed for, which has meant me working a little bit more than I’d expected. At last, Google has finally accepted casino gambling related sites into their AdSense programs. I’ve been building casino affiliate sites for as long as I can remember and these were the first insight I had into affiliate marketing.

The trouble is with the casino and gambling niche is that visitors to your site normally have two sign up to the casino and place bets before you make any money. However, now that Google is allowing AdSense to be displayed on casino and gambling sites it means that you can get paid per click. So what this means is that even though your site may only get a little bit of traffic it means that it’s a few less steps for the visitor to complete before you make money.

I received an e-mail from Google today explaining this, however, it would appear that the AdSense ads are not allowed to display casinos or gambling related products in however I’m sure Google will have demographically targeted the ads. I’m confident that Google would have thought this out and I’m sure that the price per click will be worthwhile.

So does this mean for me?

Well, it means that my dormant casino sites that have not touched in a few years will get a new lease of life and will be making a little bit more money. Even if it is only a few pence a day from AdSense.

AdSense is now growing to be one of my biggest earners in affiliate marketing, eBay Partner network used to be absolutely sensational. Ss far as my earnings were concerned I used to make the most amount of money from eBay, the since the changes to eBay and generally eBay. They are making it a lot harder for affiliate’s to make money.

So today I have been manic busy, I was invited to the local coffee morning by few of our neighbours so figured why not lets go see what’s going on in my new town. Bearing in mind that my neighbour is mega old, however he is nice enough and I feel honoured that he invited myself and Jane along.

After about 10 mins of being there and onto my first cup of tea and third chocolate biscuit it came about that people are interested in what I do for a living. The trouble is not even I can explain exactly how I make my money and you try explaining this to a group of 65-year-old plus people who are only just getting to grips with the Internet.

So I went down the line of saying I’m a web designer, this is the last resort as I hate being referred to as a web designer, however in this situation it is the best I could come up with. I did not want go down the line of trying to explain what affiliate marketing is or in fact that I own online communities and that I sell advertising space.

However, it started to get worse one of the guys there, his son is starting up a web hosting company, and he was now trying to sell me his web hosting services and kept asking me for my business card. I managed to put him off for nearly an hour before I reluctantly handed over my business card knowing that in a few days I was getting a phone call from his son and have to listen to him as well try and sell me something I don’t want or not even interested in.

This chap was trying very hard to explain his hosting company was going to be cheaper and how it was going to be better than my current one.

This baffled me as the company I’ve been with has been my hosting company for 12 years and have never had a problem. Well I say I haven’t had a problem but that is not including the time that one of my sites got huge amount of traffic and it crashed a shared server and my hosting company threatened to close my site down unless I moved into a VPS. But that is not their fault and quite frankly I was quite happy to move to a VPS server as it meant things would load a lot quicker.

So after my coffee morning I returned home and decided the tide was about right for me to go fishing today, I got my stuff together and headed to the beach which is about 30 second walk for me. When I got there and started wading through the sea to get to the rocks I started to realise the tide was coming in a bit too quick and probably wasn’t going to make the rocks so I had to turn around and quickly get back to the beach.

So after abandoning my fishing trip I decided that seeing a has I have lived by the beach for four weeks now and I still haven’t got my skimboard out it was about time if that I got it wet. So I ran back to our house quickly got changed into my wetsuit grabbed my board and headed back to the beach by this time the tide really come in and only had about 20 min left before it’s too late.

Then after that I had a picnic on the beach with Jane as we discussed what we can do for the rest of the day. Jane decided to go shopping in Portsmouth while I sat at home and got some work done. However this did not happen and I decided that I was going to go walk the neighbour’s dog.

Three hours later I was back, exhausted and hungry and so I decided that night I was going to go and get a Take out. After that it was about eight o’clock in the evening and I could not be bothered to do anything. So I decided to write a quick post and here I am.

But one thing I did learn today was that if you’re going to offer service to someone you better make sure you charge as much as you possibly can for it as they will always want as much as they can from you and you may as well get as much as you possibly can from them.

I was going to offer service to a company and they kept trying to haggle me down in price but today the only bit of work I actually did was telling no. So I may have lost £3000 worth of work but at least I am not whoring myself out to companies that think I’m worth a whole lot less.

Oh and by the way I’ve written all this using Dragon NaturallySpeaking man I love this program!!!

Hello everybody Its been a long time since I have posted but thats due to moving house and getting involved in my local communty etc However I am back now so should be updating as often as I can

As some of you may remember I once did a review for Lynn Terry and I raved about how good Dragon NaturallySpeaking was. The trouble is that this was installed on my netbook as I was travelling around Australia at the time.

So in a bid to increase the productivity and to actually get a little more work done I decided that I was going to get my Dragon NaturallySpeaking software back out again and start using it.

However, there was one massive problem and that was the fact that I couldn’t find the disc and can’t even remember when, where or how I bought it. So you can guess it’s left me a little bit frustrated. I had to sit down and think is Dragon NaturallySpeaking actually a piece of software I really need or is it something I just want now.

After a week of toying and begrudgingly having to think about buying it again I decided to bite the bullet and last night I cracked my company credit card out and spent just short of a hundred bucks on Dragon NaturallySpeaking version 11.5.

And I have to say with only 10 min training and a quick setup process I was using it and it was making a lot of sense and actually the sentences worked and I had to do very few corrections.
So today has not been particularly productive, but I’ve already created some great articles and I have even written this blog post using Dragon NaturallySpeaking.

So even though I had to buy it again and although it’s frustrating and you appear to wasted money this new version is absolutely phenomenal, the fact I don’t have to go back and correct my spelling mistakes, grammar and of course all the missing words is just a godsend but Dragon NaturallySpeaking works out how I speak and my style of writing so when reading back my articles they are actually now like I am sat in a room talking to my reader face-to-face.

So how is this going to increase our productivity?

Well as you will know I’m pretty lazy I don’t particularly like working although my online business is fantastic and doesn’t take a massive amount of time to make money and of all jobs in the world this is by far one of the best jobs I have, so don’t get me wrong I’m not complaining I’m just saying if I can make my day easier and more productive then you definitely have my attention.

So the first task of the day was for me to write an article for a new affiliate site I’m creating as a joint-venture with another marketer. I knew very little about the product and even more so I didn’t know the technical data and information I really should know, I have to say that this is even after I’ve used the product and I like product.
So you can imagine writing a review is going very difficult on this product, so what I did was I headed over to a website and I found some information that would be handy and what I did was really out but with every sentence I put in my own words, and so as I went along as effectively rewriting the article without changing any of the information.

Doing it this way meant that I was creating great unique content which flowed brilliantly. But what was good was I did not know anything about the product you never know this is a sound like an expert. This was also completed in less than 20 min and the article was over 600 words long which for an article is absolutely perfect.

Tomorrow I’ll be able to get more work done create fantastic content and not only that Dragon NaturallySpeaking will learn more and more about the way I talk and my writing style.

What plans the next week to create at least one article/blog post from my site I feel I started let my readers down people follow me and so as of next week I’ll be creating more content giving you some more great tips showing it’s the great strategies that I use to generate my full-time online income and yes I only work a few hours a week.

After spending 5 weeks in south east Asia, mainly Malaysia and then coming back to England to move house and then do a tour of wales in my kit car and then have friends over, all while trying to run my online empire but only by using my HTC its been a tough few months but we are making progress.

Today I finally got my net connection which was the final stage of getting my home office up and running.

I spent the later part of last week looking at office desks and trying find one that would be best suited for my room and after looking long and hard and often falling over with shock with some of the prices of desks I decided that I should use my skills as a craftsmen and make my own

I got a sheet of 25mm thick MDF delivered and set to work at cutting it out and then routering the edges and sanding the sides so that it looks slick

That was the top sorted I just needed some legs…. I headed over to my local DIY superstore and found some legs but I did not want to pay what they wanted and haggled them down quite a fair bit Yes I haggled a famous UK DIY superstore….

All fitted and painted and my new office desk is perfetc and only cost just short of £100 which was I though was a bargain and also it kept me occupied while I waited for broadband to get sorted out.

For those of you who know me know that I am a bit of a water baby and that I am obsessed with the sea and that I love anything to do with it. When I was in Malaysia I was competing in the international Skimboarding competition and all though I am not that great I still did ok…

However the southcoast of england is not quite as warm as malaysia so I need to wear a wet suite to handle the the freezing waters but still none the less I have bought some kayaks and been out a fair few times and its great fun… yes I am a big kid.

My new house is exactly 140m from the beach so im always walking down to the beach to see what is going on and one one of my visits this week I saw some kids playing about in the rock pools and so went to see what they were catching….. SHRIMPS!!!!!

Oh yes, they were catching shrimps…. That was it I was off to the local store to get a net and some ham…. within in an hour we had caught about 10 good sized shrimps which we had for our tea that evening… what great fun…

The following day I went to my local tackle shop and got kitted out for some sea fishing gear and headed to a beach that was recommended for good fishing I was there for 3 hours and I caught 8 good sized mackerel….

I’m really enjoying living by the sea, the fact that even if I had zero money I could still survive by catchging my dinner and living off what the land provided, if I had a garden I could almost be self sufficient….

My aim in life was to be financially independent and now that I have achieved that I am now really interested in trying my life self sufficient and seeing how long I can survive by growing my own food and seeing how much money I can save by catching my food and growing my own vegetables etc…

This is what I have been doing for the last coup;le of weeks while I try and get my office and life back to some sort of routine, I am thankful that my business allows me lots of spare time to do the things |I want and that I dont need to actually have to work as such for my living.

This is a very basic strategy but it works

One thing many merchants love about putting product out on the Clickbank market is they really don’t have to recruit affiliates to sell the product. Clickbank has some 150,000 affiliates scanning the product listings every day and picking up new digital products to sell. Among this army are some of the top names in internet marketing who could be looking at your product and picking it up to sell to their very large customer base.

You would think that with this huge number of affiliates that you would be guaranteed some good sales if you put virtually any product out there. But believe it or not, it’s still possible to list your digital product in the Clickbank marketplace and for it to just “sit there”. For one thing, your product is competing for attention with some 10,000 other products. And the products that already have strong sales and good affiliate association are the ones that are in high demand. If your product enters at a dead stop, it’s a hard to path to get it into the “fast lane” so the good affiliates take notice of it.

Moreover, among those 150,000 eager sales people, there is a fair share of bad ones. For those of you that know me very well will know that I am a forum owner in fact I own many forums but there is one forum that I own that is my greatest success I got into a niche that had competitors and only the second day in I was faced with legal action by one of my competitors.

6 Years on I no longer have any competitors and we have a community that is thriving and is still growing at an alarming rate. We have just short of 4000 members and the forum up till today has over 152,000 posts.

I have always worked hard to grow the forum and with the help of the members we are a recognised organisation that has the power in the niche to make big changes to not only the UK industry but worlds industry.

We get threatened with legal action often and earlier this year that was no different, our members opened up a bag of works which was a company that was offering work in Russia and for £800 you could be over there earning £6K a month…

Our members went into in-depth research and established that it was a scam and not one person that the company had received money from had actually made it across to Russia let alone had made any money.

The thread on the forum started to gain strength in Googles search results and before long we own the first page of the results and had actually knocked the the company off google for their own company name.

I received an email which told me that they were going to sue me for defamation and libel… I responded to the email with a phone a call and told the receptionist that if it was not a scam to prove t me first that it was not and then with the proof I would happily remove the thread…. she could not the thread stayed…

I told my members of the developments and the risk of legal action and they kicked off and contacted 3 national newspapers and a national radio station… We made the papers and the radio and within a week of the report the company shut down. It was a victory and proved very very good for our forum.

Since then the forum has re-branded and we are now taking the industry to new lengths, we have been approached by top manufacturers in the niche and we are the official reviewers and we now do all the product research for the company where our members are given freebies in exchange for reviews and suggestions.

Last year I was offered a large sum of money to sell the forum and I declined.. Am I mad? The large sum was in to the tens of thousands of pounds… I could have easily have sold up and re invested the money into other projects but I have not even scratched the surface with this forum and I think that I am going to make the most money in a few more years. I am in this for the long term!!

So how come my forum is the success and has grown so much and so quickly?

I listen to the members and gave them what they wanted… I watched many forums in this niche disappear as they got greedy and tried making money out of the members and that is a bad idea.. I don’t charge my members for them to participate I charge the companies that benefit from my members.

I destroyed all of my competition right from the start I have had forums start up and just cant compete with us. My members respect me and what I have achieved, I have helped members grow their businesses and keep food on the plates of their loved ones.

I have banner slots on the sites and I have companies begging me for them to advertise on the site and most of the time I decline them as I don’t think that every advertiser is of benefit to the forum or in the good of the forums direction.

When you have a forum you need to set out clear direction and let the members do what they want and let them go in the direction they want… don’t fight them, accommodate their needs and if they want something do what you can to give them it. I funded the forum out of my own pocket for many years and I had to go begging to my members one year because I could not afford the hosting… but its was all worth it.

Forums are hard work and take a lot of time but boy are they rewarding… I went to a meeting at the launch of a new product and I did not realise how important I was to this products success but I got a standing ovation, I have made a big difference to an industry and I have become the voice that people not only hear but they listen

This post was not meant to be about me gloating but just an insight to what I do and why.

I am in Malaysia at the moment I am on a 5 week holiday in the sunshine to visit my Malaysian friends and basically to chill out.

But the reason why I am writing today is to explain to you is that I am trying to turn my online business to a hands off business. When I went away in 2009 I was having to check my emails at least once a day and I had to check my forums at least once day.

I was constantly worried about my sites going down and whether or not they are going to get hacked!!

This does not sound too bad but when you are on holiday and your meant to spend quality time with your girlfriend then having to sit in the hotel lobby on my own swearing at my laptop.

So on the lead up to this trip I have actually turned my business into an auto pilot machine!! I have my out sourcers working on my SEO I have moderators watching my forums and ensuring that they don’t get spammed and that everybody behaves.

I set up an autoresponder on my email to say I am on holiday and that I will repsond as soon as I can I have also changed my mind set into realising that nothing is more important than me.

My health has sucked for the last couple of years and I have to say its not getting much better the stress I was under and the constant worrying was not helping and you know what I don’t care about much these days… sounds odd I know but the less I worry the better I feel.

The thing is now that when I come back to the UK I am going to have a rake load of time to work on new projects and actually be more productive… who would have thought that stopping doing anything is actually quite productive.

Well that’s it for today I am about to head to the beach and practice for the skimboarding competition I have been entered into at the weekend.

I have not been updating my blog very much recently because I have been flat out busy with lots of different projects and my offline consulting business has doubled in the last 6 months with new clients being added every single week which is proving to be fantastic for both me and my bank balance.

My company Davlic Media has been around since I started working online as the name means I could dabble in all sorts of industries and not have to keep changing names and it also makes my business banking a hell of a lot easier along with my accountant and financial advisor can see everything in one place which can only mean one thing.

I mentioned earlier that my SEO side of Davlic Media has been growing very nicely over the last 6 months and I have to say I am not only shocked by this but I am shocked that there is a lot of seo companies out there that are simply not delivering what they promise.

Three of my latest clients have fallen foul of a company who are so called Search engine marketing experts who just seem to string their clients along and make no attempt at getting results that they promised them.

One of my clients contacted me through word of mouth which for me is the best way of marketing any business and he was telling me that he is tied into a SEO company for the next 10 months and was worried about the lack of work that they were doing or should I say results…

So I suggested to him that he just asks them for a monthly report on what they are doing etc… He got a barrage of abuse in fact that is all he got from the company no results no extra traffic just abuse and billed each month.

I took pity on this company and decided that telling him that its going to cost him £400 a month for my services and I want 12 month contract and one months payment up front is probably not going to be the right way to approach him especially as he described the SEO industry as full of sharks.

My strategy was to prove to him first that I could rank him and show him what I can do for his business and I did not want any money up front at all I just wanted to prove to him that I was the real deal and that I can get him the results he has so desperately been looking for.

My offer was for me to rank for a keyword of his choice and to get it page one google results but top 3 in the organic search as I explained that this is still the best place to be in google. I said that when I get this result I will invoice him for £400.

This was a no win no fee deal and he snapped it up…

6 days had passed and I had taken this company from page 3 of google to number 8 on the first page he was over the moon he could now see that I walk the walk… He asked me if he should pay me now and I said nope…. I said I promised top 3 results and that is what I am getting for you. He was shocked that I turned down the money but respected my business ethics and I continued to work my magic..

another 10 days past and at 2am one Friday morning I did a quick check and POW we were sat at number 3.

I emailed him straight away and he sent me the money before I had even done an invoice for him. I have now taken him on as a client and he happily pays me a monthly fee each month.

Not every month do I get results like what I showed him but he can see his traffic improve and of course his bottom line is looking a lot healthier now.

I often get told about how efficient and effective my marketing tactics are and how that it surprises people how quickly I get results and how quickly they start to see a return on their investment. I am always proud of the things I achieve I worked hard to get results, everything I do I take by the balls and destroy goals.

Those of you that follow me on twitter see me on a personal level and on a business level I Tweet about results but not only the successes but the screw ups… I do screw I make huge errors but I always correct them and make them better.

People come to the offline marketing niche thinking that its an easy profitable niche and the easiest way to make money online… I am not going to deny that its easy and boy is it profitable but you need to know the basics of the industry first and it worries me that a lot of questions over at the warrior forum are by people who have taken on clients and have promised them the world but can give them nothing…

Lots of people have seen me rant and destroy these people in threads on the Warrior Forum and I am often told off for calling people chancers and sharks. I hate seeing people get ripped off and I work hard to bring up the SEO industry and its reputation.

One thing that you need to be able to do as an offline consultant and that is you need to understand SEO you need to have evidence that you can rank sites for keywords and I am not talking about keyword rich domain names I am talking about proper SEO strategies that mean you can rank for any keyword using any domain name.

I made my name in affiliate marketing and I only got the reputation for being an awesome SEO consultant by getting results and making lots of money through affiliate marketing. I don’t need to advertise my SEO services as people come to me and they don’t interview me I interview them, If I took on everybody who approached me for SEO advice I would be flat out busy and not make any money.

What exactly is affiliate marketing?

Affiliate marketing is the single fastest growth industry on the Internet to date. It’s also true that affiliate marketing is one of the fastest and most creative ways to make money and have a career on the Internet. This is why I started, it was easy for me to get started and it did not take much money to start up and so it meant right at the start of the internet I could get going.

As simply as I can put it, affiliate marketing is selling products on a commission basis. You own a business that advertises and sells products for other companies. Which means you are the middle man to many businesses. The things that a successful affiliate marketer must have are:

1. Your website is the jumping off point of all your marketing efforts. So the first step in any successful affiliate marketing business is building a good, credible and professional looking website. You must build a user-friendly website, which will attract your prospects and motivate them to click on the links to the products and services you are promoting and make a purchase. There are companies whose business is building websites that you can hire to build one for you.

2. You must find products to sell, you must be able to determine whether there is a demand for those products and if people will actually buy them. You may either have your own original product or products that are made by others. Which ever way you go, you must believe in the products.

3. It will be necessary for you to become an adept advertiser and be able to tell whether the advertising you are paying for is producing more income for you than the advertising is costing you.

4. It is necessary that you have good mathematical skills. You will need to be able to track your sales and determine profit, as well as, see to it that your suppliers are paid in full and on time.

5. You need the full and unwavering support of your family so that you can devote the time and energy necessary to launch your affiliate marketing business.

Having the support of your family would be nice when you start out in affiliate marketing but like most people who want to start making money online you probably will get seen as ripping people off and everything you do is a scam…

I was sat down by my parents at the age of 15 and told that I was wasting my time and that I wont make any money online people like us don’t get rich like that. I proved them wrong in a very big way, they now get to see the fruits of my efforts and are often singing my praises to people they meet…

Affiliate marketing is getting more and more competitive now that people are starting to realise that it is one of the easiest ways to make money online especially as you don’t need to be creative enough to create your own products you just promote already selling products and services which already have a great track record.

I have made my name in affiliate marketing promoting companies like ebay, amazon, hostgator and of course clickbank products. One very important thing you shoould do though when you promote anything and that is to actually believe in the product you are promoting and if you don’t like what you promote then it will become very obvious to the readers and visitors to your site that oyu really don’t believe in your own product.

When you create your blog title make sure that you include your main keyword in it. Try and make it into a compelling title that not only keeps the search engines happy but also makes your reader want to read on.

When you create your wordpress site you should have already installed the “all in one SEO” plugin its free to install and its by far the best wordpress SEO plugin that I know.

When All In One SEO Plugin has been installed you need to make sure that you set the home page title, description and the keywords. When Creating Your Content:

When you write your content for your site you need to make sure that your posts are 400 words or more and make sure that you include your main keyword and also related keyword throughout the posts as this gives the search engines the Latent symantic indexing (LSI) it was looking for.

Some people say to include your keyword once every hundred words but I like to just write my articles and then tweak them afterwards as I feel that the reader is more important than the search engines. I also aim for about 3% keyword density, other gurus reckon 1% but once again there is no definitive answer.

You need to make sure that sprinkle related search terms throughout your article and you can use the google keyword tool to find such keywords relating to your main keyword.

I have spoke about back link building in the past and its importance, I have even written a book on it which you can get here…

Working Man’s Web Domination

In my opinion any link is worth having, whether it is a do fllow or a no follow a backlink is a backlink. Some experts only get do follow links but to me this seems a little un-natural so I like to get a mixture. The one thing I d try and do though is only get links from sites that have a page rank rating of more than one as this gives me the certainty that the site is liked by google and also the higher the page rank of the site you are linking from the better for you as you get a lot of credibility from the links.

This is just a basic guide to SEO on wordpress, I will be going into a lot of detail over the coming weeks. But these are the basics and if you are not doing these yet then I would consider looking at them and starting right away.SEO is one of the most important factors of having a website online and you would not believe the amount of people who don’t do any SEO what so ever and they look surprised when their site does not appear in google and they are not making millions of pounds a day online.

This week has been a manic week, Sunday I spent the day at my dads because he turned 60 and due to lots of reasons we could not catch up until Sunday. Had a nice home cooked dinner and opened presents which was quite nice

Then Monday came round and this is the day that I spend in the office, Jane is a maths tutor so she is also there helping my little cousin get through her GCSE’s. During the day I get a phone call from a builder I use to do lots of work for when I was plastering and he seemed quite anxious and it turned out he was running behind on a job and the plasterer he now uses has let him down…. So me being me said yeah I will come and do it

Oh boy, me and my big mouth, what a nightmare of a job, in the old days I could skim a kitchen in a day but this one took two hard days of graft but it was completed yesterday with a nice wedge of cash in my pocket (which I will declare to my good friend the tax man).

The trouble with plastering is that it is so tiring and at the end of the day I just cant be bothered to do anything more, I got home on Tuesday and I went to sleep at 20:00 and slept right through till 07:00 the following day.

However last night I decided that I was going to push on and start getting a site that has been making me about £300 a month for the last 2 years properly optimised for the search engines and because I moved the site from Drupal to wordpress over the weekend I had my work cut out. I spent maybe 3 hours last night sorting out the robots.txt and the ping lists and then the mammoth task of organising the right keywords etc…

So last night I made the decision that I had done enough and thought about tackling my gmail inbox. My inbox has about 20,000 unread emails in it and to be honest it was getting a bit of a nightmare.

So another 2 hours had gone through the emails and deleted a lot and not only that I decided to unsubscribe from so many lists, I was getting fed up with the amount of emails I was getting and I was simply not reading them because I have just been too busy or quite frankly not interested in them.

Sorry if I am on your list and I unsubscribed but I just don’t have the time any more to read about things that bear no interest in my life or in fact stuff that is not going to make me any money or increase the amount of money I earn.

So that was a big spring clean for me, it was a good feeling and as my mother always says is a clean home is an organised home

Well for the rest of this week I have a lot booked, today I am off out on the lash for St Patricks day with school friends from **cough** 10 years ago so that should be a good catch up, and I have just got back from helping a friend pick a new laptop as people seem to think that because I work online I instantly know everything about computers…lol

Tomorrow I shall be nursing a hangover and then heading to take my dads car to the garage for him as he is at his job. Then on Saturday myself and Jane have a wedding to go to which quite frankly is not something I am looking forward to at all, I really don’t like weddings or in fact anything like that. I get fed up with the what do you do questions and the blank looks as you try to explain that you do actually make money online without scamming people…lol
Sunday should be a good relaxing day, we are heading back over to my parents again to sort out my old van ready for an MOT so I can get my private plate off it and hopefully get it on either my kit car or possibly my new car (which I cant decide on what to buy….)

I have been reading The 4 Hour Work Week By Tim ferris the last couple of weeks and seeing as my productivity has dropped since I have had dengue fever I have decided that its time I slowed down some what.

However, doing less work for me is not about making less money, in fact its the very opposite its about making more money for less effort. I can sit in front of my laptop for 12 hours a day but I am not going to achieve a great deal because I am physically not always working.

So this week I have implemented a few of the things that Tim has outlined and I am already seeing a vast improvement on my productivity. I no longer check emails every 10 mins I don’t go to my forums every hour to catch up on posts.

My email is set to send an auto response saying I will only be checking mail at 12:00 and 16:00 if its important then call me. This means that I can actually focus on the tasks that are important and do them in priority order rather than trying to keep on top of “everything”.

When I was plastering full time I still managed to run my online business effectively because I knew that I only had 2 hours to get things done, and even though I work online full time I don’t actually want to be sat in front of my laptop for 40 hours a week.

Yes I am pretty flexible, last week I decided I wanted to take a week off and I did, I just got my out sourcers to do a bit more and I just handled the important tasks, which in reality was the thick end of nothing as everything can be put off.

So we shall see how this pans out…. So far every week I have worked less and got the same amount done as the previous week which is not too bad… so in theory I should be doing a whole lot less for a whole lot more cash.

So going off subject a bit, but I had a phone call from my bank manager and if I ever saw a chap work so hard to ensure his customers were happy then Mark is the guy! He phoned me to tell me that he has me another SEO client which is pretty awesome. Mark has seen what my capabilities are when I get my hands on a small business and he has already done the pre selling for me.

So that hour long meeting with mark a few months back is already paying off and hopefully we can find a few more clients like this as this is really mega money. In fact its most likely going to take me to my next earning goal.

You may think its funny or odd that I am taking on new clients when I am trying to do less work and in reality I prefer affiliate marketing but the truth is I cant say no and the only real work I am going to have to do is attend a meeting (wearing a suit…. YUK!!) and find out what is needed and then go and build a plan for my team of out sourcers to follow and then I just have to get the wheels in motion and it all works

Well this week has been a bit of mad one… not that is any different from any other week but this week for me has meant I have spent a lot of cash on things and well I have to say I am quite pleased with what I have bought this week.

What have my feeling been on this week?

Well I started the week off heading to my uncles garage where I kinder have an office there, that’s where I have meetings when I need them as although I have a home business I don’t really want to bring clients and bank managers to my home so the office space above one of the units that my uncle owns acts as a nice office.

The other thing about having an office away from my normal place of work is that I actually get out the house and I get to see people, and as everybody is netpreneur will know that you don’t get out a great deal and you kinder start shying away from the outside world.

So on Monday I was at the garage but I was actually plastering again… yes as I have mentioned in previous posts and that is that they are building a training room and well seeing as I am a top class plasterer I get the job of making sure that the walls are all good for the painters.

So the rest of the week I have been working on sites for my offline clients, I don’t have a huge client base as that is not the business model that makes me money but it is something I do to help friends and family out and then who they refer to me as well.

I have been building a shop for one client which has sapped a lot of time out of my week not by any fault of the clients just that I am trying to do it using wordpress and so keeping it easy. Its been a bit of a nightmare and I would not recommend ShopperPress for anything, in fact I am pretty disappointed with the whole product and also their DirectoryPress is also pretty pants, even the new beta version that is coming out is not up to scratch either.

However today I finally got the shop finished and also I managed to find time to create the invoice and get that sent

The rest of the week between doing the shop I have been looking at wordpress themes and seeing how I can up my design game as I am getting more and more offline clients and the money is pretty good. Especially as all my affiliate marketing site are all fully automated so I really don’t have to do much so the offline stuff fills the weeks. But I have found though that my designs are getting boring and very samey which is fine for the client because its the first time they would have seen one of my designs however for me I don’t have as much pride in my work, which is not a great sign.

So I started looking for some themes and I came across Studiopress, now these themes are pretty elaborate and they have some pretty awesome designs and they seem to have a great framwwork called the Genesis framework which seems to be mega flexible.

Well after a couple of hours of umming and arrring I decided to bite the bullet and buy them, when I say them, I actually mean them, I could not decide which themes I wanted so I bought every single one of them and $250 later I was a little worried that I may have wasted some money.

After 10 mins of searching and playing with a demo wordpress install I was in love with the ease of the templates and they are so customisable that I was actually shocked at what I could now easily achieve.

I have picked out 5 new basic themes that will make good sites for all my latest clients and with a bit of tweeking I could make them all different again. I have even found a theme for my main company site www.davlicmedia.com that I have left dormant for a long time as I have been so busy building affiliate sites and running forums and travelling… must not forget about travelling.

So I overall I am really happy with Studiopress and I will be seeing how far I can take the designs in the next few months and hopefully they will be a great asset, in fact they have already paid for them selves so I am happy.

The other thing I bought just yesterday was the Amazon Kindle.

I am pretty shrewd with money, I try not to waste it as I did that a few years ago and now I just really decide if I want something before I actually buy it, I know longer impulse buy as I rather spend the money on travelling or whatever.

So the Amazon kindle is an ebook reader and seeing as most of the books I read I have to print out to read the Kindle really did begin to appeal to me and the last time we went travelling I took nearly 8KG’s of books with me which when you are trying to travel light 8kg’s is a lot of weight to have in just books.

I headed over to PC World on Thursday to take a look at the kindle because I had never actually seen one in the flesh so I want to make sure that it is what I wanted. Well I was gob smacked, the display is somewhat awesome, actually thought the screen was a sticker it looked so much like a paper it was untrue. That for me was the seller!

So on Saturday I took the plunge and did not order one but I decided to order Jane one as well because I think she showed an interest in getting but being a student she is not really in a position to go spending money…

I am really looking forward to them coming and hopefully they will be here by Wednesday. I have not heard a bad thing about the kindle so I will be keen at seeing what its really like.

I also spent even more money this week on an SEO course by Sean Donahue, I know a lot about SEO and I don’t call my self a guru but I would call myself an expert so I am always keen to see what other peoples ideas and angles are on the subject.

I was quite impressed with what I watched and there are some pretty awesome strategies that I can not see failing, I will be trying them out in the coming weeks. I also found some crazy good plugins that I will be testing a lot to see if they actually make a difference to SEO.

That’s about my week really, not incredibly exciting but that is the day and life of a full time internet marketer

Well today I have been thinking a lot about demographic marketing and I have to say that I don’t really do it enough and so much so I have to change the way I do things online because I think with this titbit of information I can really increase the income generated from my already profitable sites.

Demographic marketing is all about working out who your visitors really are and what they like. So for example a car site tends to be males aged 16 – 35 years old who also like playing Gran Turismo and make 40 day.

With this information you can see what people might want, so instead of selling cars to car enthusiasts you know that cars are their passion so you know that they are going to do the most to make sure they are looked after so you know that they will also be interested in buying a bucket and sponge and they are probably going to be interested in cleaning products.

FaceBook is a great way to do demographic marketing because people will open tell you what and who they are, take a look at all those people who have “engaged” on their profile I can sure as a spade is a spade that they will be interested in weddings and wedding planning and also looking for perfect honeymoons.

The recent adsense change to autoblogs has really made me open my eyes up to what people might be also interested in. In the past I use to build a site throw adsense up drive traffic and make money, now I am being a little more clever with the traffic and dissecting it to see what they might want. I am now looking at CPA offers that will hit the spot with my visitors.

Its quite exciting really, I am quite enjoying delving deep into market research and seeing what people are actually likely to be interested in. If you head over to http://www.quantcast.com/ebay.com you will see that I have typed in ebay.com to see what sort of people visit ebay and what the demographic of that person will be.

So taking a look you will see that 33% of ebay.com traffic is aged between 18-34, 52% of which are male and 82% are Caucasian that earns $60K – $100K a year and did not go to college. Using this information you can really home in on your target market and supply theme with precise information and literally give them what they want.

I am not saying this is fool proof but it does give you the help and an understanding of who you are selling to and with this information you should be able to earn more money or at least start making more use with the current traffic your site is receiving.

Also this week I have been using the countdown timer to see how many hours I actually work a day, not how many hours I am sat in front of the laptop but how many actual hours I work. I don’t really need to do 8 hours a day in fact I only really need to do about 2 hours to maintain my current lifestyle however some days I can spend 10 hours in front of my laptop and do very little so last week I decided this had to change and I am seeing the difference already!

I am quite pleased with what I have already achieved this week and making money this week is already proving to be going really well.

Tomorrow I have to finish a site for a client then I am actually going to design a website for my company to showcase my business and what I actually do… that should be interesting!

This has been a pretty hectic week for me, Monday I was back at my uncles garage www.MKMOT.com and doing some building work up stairs ready for his new training centre which needs to be ready very soon.

Last week I plastered a few walls upstairs, and plastered the stairwell but a few of the other walls just needed a bit of filling here and there and that is what I was doing on Monday.

One of the walls had been smashed to bits and as a repair in the past a big sheet of MDF had been put over it and well as you can tell we need to do a proper fix so I cut the damaged board out and replaced it with a new board and skimmed it to finish it off. It looked pretty good in the end.

The other thing I have discovered this week is that adsense has changed its rules on auto content so I spent a fair few hours removing adsense from my autoblogs and finding good replacement ads and hopefully I should not notice any drop in Revenue.

Google at the moment is doing a lot of so called “changes” and I am not sure if its just hype, but its googles bid to clean up the internet, and this is getting to be a hot topic on every discussion forum and what I find quite amusing is that Google is hammering autoblogs, but when you look at the fact that google itself is just aggregated content and that its the biggest autoblog out there…. ironic?

However we are all at the mercy of the “BIG G” and I have been making quite a few changes to my sites to increase conversions and obviously this will also increase the sites revenue.

I have been spending quite a bit of time this week working on themes, as I have taken on a few offline clients in the last few months and I feel that my simple designs are being left behind and seeing as the recession has everybody fighting for work I need to up my game when it comes to designs.

I am not a web designer but I do get asked to build sites for people and when the money is right I do hoar myself out and do the web design, What I don’t like about web design is that people think its a case of finding a theme and dropping your relevant information in but in reality its a whole different ball game.

When I build a site for someone I am constantly on the look out to see how I can maximise its google placement and increase the SEO of the site as I think this is the most important part when it comes to building a site. If you get the SEO wrong when you first start building a site it can go sooo wrong and you will have to work extra hard in your other efforts to get your site ranking.

So this week I took the almighty leap and busted out my wallet and bought the Studiopress themes, $250 later I have about 30 themes, I could not decide which ones I wanted so I bought them all. I have been playing around with them today trying to work out which ones are best for my clients and I am getting my head round the individual themes (thank fully to youtube).

Studiopress is pretty complicated and it was frustrating at first but the quality of the themes is frankly worth the effort and this is why I am spending the time to get them the way I want them to look.

My Offline Marketing Sideline

I have been making a nice living from affiliate marketing for a while now and I love the residual income but over the last 12 months I have been picking up SEO clients. I outsource most of the tasks needed as most of the time its quite simple to rank the sites for the keywords that the client wants.

I dont need to do any selling because they approach me and I am quite picky about who I take on, but in the end I get them on a 2 year contract for a nice monthly fee and every single client I have taken on is ranking for their required search terms…. What I like though is that it is not by any of my own work, well when I say my own work I mean my own blood sweat and tears, I just outsource the necessary tasks to my assistants and they do all the donkey work.

However this last week I have been thinking about how I can take things top the next level, although I am awesome at the offline marketing client business and all my clients are happy, I am actually not the type of person that really likes to get chatting to people, I kinder like to keep myself to myself and this does sometimes get in the way of things..

What am I going to do?

Well I like to face my fears and so this week I am planning on getting out there and finding a few more offline clients and seeing how much money I can actually make and in the shortest time possible. What I like about the offline business is that as soon as you get a clients site ranking they are out with their mates boasting at how good I am and I get a few more referrals….

I really love the flexibility that my online business has provided me over the last few years, I like that I can work anywhere in the world and I have the skills to build a site and make money almost instantly.

Affiliate marketing for me is the lifeblood of my company and its mega exciting but I need to push it up to the next level I am not sure which strategy is my next big push will be. I make my money ins some many different ways in affiliate marketing so I might just pick one section and spend four weeks promoting it hard to see what gives me the best ROI….

Bit of a long random post today but this blog is meant to be about me and my random thoughts

Hello everybody,

well this week has been a bit of an odd week really, I actually started this week off by doing a bit of building work for my uncle, not website building, but actual manual labour in the sense that I had to blow the dust off my plastering tools find them all and put them to use.

It has been a pretty long time since I had firstly seen my tools and I struggle to remember the last time I actually did some plastering but a change is as good as a holiday as they say.

So monday morning I was skimming my uncles office out and I have to say I quite enjoyed it, no pressure I just plodded on and put a bit of effort into getting the finish perfect. The funny thing is is that even after all this time of not plastering I jumped straight back into it and the finish was pretty damn good.

The following day a builder came to the office as my uncle runs the maintenance on his vehicles and the builder was pretty impressed with the finish and was trying to persuade me to go back on the tools and he looked shocked when I turned it down.

I am not sure I could ever go back plastering full time, its good in the fits and bursts that I do it now but after doing it for 5 days I reckon I would be ready to hang my trowel up and get behind the laptop screen again.

But this has really opened my eyes, not only am I working pretty hard now to ensure that I dont “have” to go back plastering I am now more focussed than ever. Just this week I picked up a few more offline clients which I then outsource all the work for now and take all the cream off the top.

The other thing about this week is that I am back to skateboarding (yes you can laugh) but when I was younger I use to enjoy skating and it kept me in shape, since dengue fever I have lost a lot of my strength and my balance has been absolutely desperate.

So in a bid to get better and get back on my feet I have been getting up at the crack of dawn to hit the local skate park where I bumble round and pretty much tire myself out in about 20 mins. However even after a few days I notice that I am improving which I am mega pleased about.

The plan for the rest of the week is to finish a product on autoblogging and then to launch my “Working Man’s Web Domination” product which I have been selling for a few months privately to my members, and it has been getting absolutely fantastic reviews so that’s a good thing.

I have also started getting a few more videos using Camtasia produced now and so I think in a couple of weeks I will be doing a video blog on a Wednesday just so you can see what I do from day to day and pretty much get back on the subject of marketing and show you how my mind works.

Well its Sunday again and I am sat in front of my laptop contemplating what to do today, this has been a very much an occurring question recently I am not sure why but I am really struggling to stay motivated. I already earn a nice residual income and I already have all my bills paid and yet I just cant be bothered to do much more….

So the last few days I have been seeing actually how much work I actually get done. I went to http://www.online-stopwatch.com/ and set the count down timer to 8 hours and I start and pause it as an when. So if I got and check my facebook I would pause the counter until I get back to work. I am seeing how long it takes me to actually do 8 hours of work in a day… I reckon I am not evening doing 3 hours of actual work a day.

However this week I have achieved a fair amount even though I don’t actually do much, I took on another Virtual Assistant (VA) because I wanted to get a bit more achieved each month and when I can get someone to do the boring task of backlinking and maybe a bit of wordpress content creation (even though this blog is the only content I actually create). Either way its adding to my business and at a price I wont even have to worry about.

Last Wednesday I booked a holiday, much to the surprise of everybody that saw me in the state I was in when I caught Dengue Fever in October I am going back to Asia and more specifically I am off to Malaysia with Jane.

We are spending a month away where we will be going to Borneo, Malaysia and Singapore. Jane and I have a lot of really awesome friends in Malaysia and we have been to see them twice now since we bumped into them in Bali back in 2009. Myself and Jane, love travelling so much that every single penny we make goes to spending it on travelling we pretty much live for nothing else other than travelling some more.

In July we will be off, all flights are booked and all I need to do is make sure that I have enough bug spray to keep the mozzies away and that I don’t do anything that will end this trip early…. lets hope 3rd time lucky.

So what are my plans for next week?

Well on Monday I am actually doing some plastering for a family friend which is going to interesting, I actually love plastering its a very satisfying trade but I have not picked up a trowel in about 2 years. I am sure I will be like a duck to water but still none the less it will be a hard day.

The other thing that I need to get finished is the product I have been working on, it was meant to be a quick simple product but I have been going in so much in depth that we have decided to create it and then sell it for a much higher ticket. I am hoping that it is as good as lots of people have been telling me.

I am also working on a product that is going to help one of my forums no end but not only that I am actually getting this one published so you can buy it from Amazon in an actual hard copy which is going to be pretty awesome

The other thing which is not marketing related at all is that I have started weight training again, I lots a rake load of weight from Dengue fever and its quite embarrassing taking my top off now so I have decided for my Malaysian trip to get back into shape, I was fairly well built in 2009 and that all went out of the window for one reason or another but now I am happy that I will get back to it and maybe exceed my previous.

Well that’s all for this week, not the most exciting read but its just a little update.

This week my productivity has lacked somewhat and I have to say the reason is because I have got a slight addiction to chat rooms and I am not talking about naughty chat rooms I am talking about chat rooms that are related to marketing and making money online.

I really do enjoy these chats but because they are run in the states and I am in the UK (very much reluctantly) they don’t start getting busy till about 2am which is OK once a week but every night I am up till about 4 or 5am chatting marketing and SEO.

I am finding that doing this 5 days a week is absolutely destroying what work I get done, its got to the stage where I cant be bothered to do anything but sleep! This is not as bad as it sounds as I do outsource a lot of work and so even if I am in bed asleep I am not having to worry too much as my company is still growing but I do really need to get a lot more done than I currently am.

Working online is a pretty intense industry and working about 15 hours a day is not only very time consuming but exhausting, I really really do enjoy what I do online and affiliate marketing is absolutely fantastic but I am burning out.

So on this note I am deciding to change my lifestyle a little so that I can get more out of my work week and have more time to do things that I actually want to do…. so I am taking 2 days off a week and only going to do work on my business for 8 hours a day… like a normal person.

How is this going to help me?

Well firstly being sat of a laptop does not mean you are working and a lot of people think that just because they are actually in front of a screen they will make more money but in reality you have to do something while you are sat there.

So if I only work effectively what is 40 hours a week my mind can rest and I can hopefully be more productive in the 8 hours that I am working a day. So as opposed to doing 15 hours a day I can do about 8 good solid hours and this should make me more money in the long run.

So that is what I want to do so as of today no more late nights, no more chatting and only working a few hours a day

I will let everybody know how I get on in 2 weeks time

Well today is one of those days that I decided to cut my to do list right down and only do the small tasks. Well its now nearly 16:00 and I am still going balls out to get things done.

I am not sure why it has taken me so long to get things done but it has, however I have actually quite enjoyed the day though. That’s the nice thing about small tasks the change of task in a short space of time is pretty good for morale and also the satisfaction of ticking things off your to do list is good for your mind.

Well as I write this I am doing the monthly back up of my laptop, I copy the whole thing across to an external hard drive and I then email a few of the important spreadsheets I have so that I can access them if I am on the move which is quite often.

I never use to really back things up but one day I lost a hell of a lot of work and well it set me back many months and I lost a lot of money and productivity so now the worst case is that I am a month behind… I know, I could back up at the end of every day but it does take quite a long time and in all honesty a monthly back up is pretty good.

I have also been chatting to a fellow marketer for most of the day, her name is Vanessa Reece is is pretty big in the coaching and business consulting niche. We have been doing quite a few skill swaps this week I have been helping with Amazon and affiliate conversions techniques while she explains how she helps small businesses get a marketing strategy that actually works.

Vanessa or “V” as she likes to be known is building a great name for herself in not only her town but in the internet marketing world. She has her on own show on the www.talkmarketingnow.com network and is sharing a lot of great tricks and idea.

Networking online is very important and building relationships is always beneficial to both parties as long as you don’t waste the time you do spend chatting as this is not very productive and quite frankly a waste of time. Remember that they are also trying to build a business so you are not only wasting your time but theirs as well

I have a site to build for a client this week I don’t normally whore myself out to web design but I its through a referral and I don’t like saying no, also it has everything to do with the money! So last night at about 3am I bought ShopperPress, I have not installed it yet but I think its going to be a pretty good plugin for wordpress and this should help my clients new site no end.

Its been a while since I last posted I have been mega busy and still recovering from dengue fever which is just sapping energy out of me at the moment. I can fall asleep at the drop of hat which is quite worrying especially if I want to drive (which I am not).

So what have I been doing then?

Well I have been doing quite a lot of networking really, just getting involved with a lot more chats online and especially in the internet marketing circles. Its one of my new years resolutions and that is to do more live chats and discussions using a web cam and mic.

I have been attending the www.fridaynightchat.com every friday for about a year now and I have made some great internet friends and have made some good contacts but not only that I have learnt a lot of information which is now making me some extra money which is always noce.

Friday Night Chat or FNC has now evolved to www.talkmarketingnow.com and on a Wednesday pretty all day there is a chat going on. George Sepich who started the site has asked a number of pretty well known marketers to do an hours show each week and the topics range from local business marketing right the way through to copywriting.

I don’t have a show yet as believe it or not I am actually quite shy in that respect however I do now take part quite a bit and get on the mic quite often

However these live chats are a great way to get involved with other marketers businesses and I got chatting to another marketer and we are actually doing a product together now. I am not going to go into too much detail about what we are doing as I want to make sure that its a viable product.

So moving on from that I have been learning how to use Camtasia studio the last couple of days and this is actually pretty easy, for a software that can do so much the learning curve is easier and literally in a couple of hours I new how to do what I needed and now I am flying.

Its also the first time I have ever heard my own voice and I have to say I think I have quite a good recording voice. I am thinking now that if I don’t get time to write a blog post I may do a quick video instead so you can get to see my ugly mug Either it will work very well or I will lose readers but either way it will help get me use to being in front of a web cam.

Today as I write this post I am sat in my uncles office as I am just bored of my home office at the moment and because my whole business is home based I now don’t have to leave the house to do anything so that’s pretty scary and I often find that I don’t leave the house for long periods of time so part of this years resolutions is that I get out and about a bit more often.

I had not planned to update the blog till the new year but I found this WP Twin software that quite simply is saving me an absolute rake load of time which is absolutely fantastic. I will go into a bit of detail about why I decided I needed this little bit of software.

OK so as you have probably established by now that I build a lot of sites and I am mainly targeting Amazon and eBay… well this is what I spend most of my time working on. I have now refined the building and template design of these sites to a point I know exactly how they should look and what works best and were I should have the adsense ads etc to gain the best click through rate and ultimately make the most amount money from each site.

WP Twin means I can now clone all the settings and just leaves adding content to me

When I find a niche which normally only takes about 20 mins and then 10 mins for the market research using Market Samurai then another 10 mins buying a keyword rich domain name I am just about ready to install wordpress and get building.

Installing wordpress as the basic install takes only a few seconds but adding all the themes and making the changes and adding all the plugins and setting is what takes me the longest to day and quite simply it gets quite boring and then it starts to take a lot longer!

I was in internet marketing chat room the other night discussing internet marketing with fellow marketers and they told me about WP Twin which will clone any wordpress site in literally a few seconds.. I was so shocked that I had to try it out … Oh boy was I impressed!

I have a site that has over 3000 pages and 3000 products all from Amazon and eBay and the template is customised and all the settings throughout the blog would take literally 2 hours to copy and even then I doubt I would get it exact.

I have already built 2 Amazon shops today and I have a lot planned to build over the next few days. I have around 100 domains now that need amazon and ebay shops putting on and WP Twin is going to make the daunting task now seem like child’s play.

I have to say I am amazed as how powerful this simple script is to use and at how much time its going to save me and also how much money I can now potentially make.

Its been a while again since I posted, I have been battling dengue fever and this last week has been tough been pretty ill today and my head has been all over the place. So I have been resting and taking it easy.

However I have been working on a new business model and it involves using CPA and product creation, its been been a long time since I created a digital product in fact my early days online I was creating digital products for money and they sold OK, but now I am doing things a little differently.

I found a pretty competitive niche using Market Samurai the other day and I could not resist buying the keyword rich domain name and getting started. I needed an ebook which I could give away on the subject and after a few hours of searching I discovered there was nothing around.

So I downloaded around 50 PLR articles on the subject and printed them all off and started highlighting what I thought were important and good facts. Once I had done this I then got my trusted note pad out and then sub headed it.

I then re read all the articles putting the points in the sub headings and suddenly I had a layout for an ebook on how to cure my problem.

All I have to do now is expand out each point a few graphics and affiliate links and its done… This at first has taken me a long time maybe 3 hours but I now know exactly how to do it.

Its simple and probably not rocket science or even a new method but I only worked it out this last week…lol

I have put to one side building Amazon and ebay shops for a few months while I work on my new CPA strategies as I have found that the few CPA sites I do have are making a lot of money and for the effort I am impressed with the CPA results.

Well this week I have been looking at other ways of making money online and even though for me ebay partner network has made me a lot of money in the past the last 12 months it has been harder and I don’t think its just due to the affiliate managers getting a cob on about how much we make as affiliates I actually think that the general public are not using eBay any more.

I am quite happy with the way that Amazon is going at the moment and to be honest the slim conversion rates at a measly 5% which then does grow to 8% is OK but you have to throw a huge amount of traffic at your affiliate shops to make any good money which is fine again as I can build really targeted sites and get them ranking and making money quickly however they don’t make the amount of money I would want for the initial amount of time it has taken to build.

So there are many ways to make money online in fact there are so many ways there is no way I could name them all here but there is one way I am going to talk about and its a method that is making me a very very nice amount of money each month .

Yes I am talking about targeting the CPA (Cost Per Action) method, cpa for me is producing very nice daily money with very little effort and with in two months of starting with a CPA network I was already making more money than any of my other ventures and I have to say that that is an achievement in itself.

So what is it that I do?

I go and find niches where people are looking for something and I go and give them exactly what they are looking for…. sounds pretty obvious really, doesn’t it?

Well the difference is that I give them exactly what they want for free… I take no money of the user I just make them fill out a survey before they get the download.

Now this does seem pretty complicated but its sooooo easy in fact I am now spending 90% of my time building sites targeting CPA offers as they convert a whole lot better than anything I have evr done even better paying than Adsense.

The power of cpa marketing is very exciting.

At the moment its taking me 8 hours a site from start to finish and then I get my VA (virtual Assistant) to get on the case of driving traffic to it which frankly is a doddle as I am targeting niches that I know I can rank on the first page for with very little effort.

I have found a resource of products I can give away for free I have found 20 niches ready and waiting for me to start, and every day I am finding new niches to exploit with my free products!

I am not one to get too excited about anything but I have to say that CPA is really kicking arse and I am so glad that I found it.
